Providing essential resources for students

Guided by our faith and commitment to care, we support students’ health and well-being by providing essential resources—from hygiene kits and school supplies to age-appropriate books—ensuring every child has the tools to thrive in learning and in life.

Books for Students

We have donated more than 700 books to students who may not have any at home. Age-appropriate materials such as storybooks, dot-to-dot, word search, and puzzle books are provided, along with gently used or new books to encourage reading and learning outside the classroom.

Personal Care Packets

SAM donates funding for children to have necessary toiletries at home. Care packets include essentials like a toothbrushe, toothpaste, a comb, a brush, lip balm, facial tissues, soap, shampoo, and a nail file. These small items help students come to school clean, confident, and ready to focus on learning.

School Supplies

SAM also provides financial resources for school supplies such as rulers, pencils, notebooks, paper, and other classroom necessities to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.

For families living in poverty, even simple items like paper, art supplies, or sports fees can be out of reach. Limited access to books, technology, and enrichment activities can leave children feeling left out and bring a quiet sense of shame. By providing funding for these resources, we give students the opportunity to fully participate in school and feel the same sense of belonging as their peers.
